Success!

I have done it!  I found coats, nice coats, coats that should last for awhile and I paid $8.00!  Yes, this could be a record in thriftiness or cheapness.  As I have been assured by many of you : you CAN be both!  LOL!  They have a zip out liner jacket and are a 4 in 1 coat :: not sure how they got 4 but it's OK.  I also, bought them sizes too big in an attempt to stay ahead of three growing boys.  But, considering how much they are eating and sleeping lately this could be a challenge.  Guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope.  :0)

Little Boys

Little boys come in all shapes and sizes,
Shy and adventurous, full of surprises,

Thrifty vs. Cheap

It's been a long day.  We had bowling club this morning with the boys.  And then Brian took us to a new favorite lunch spot of his :: Cafe Rio.  Very yummy!  We stopped at Shopko for me to look at boy coats, but I missed the season, and it's apparently time to stock up on swimwear?!?  So I thought I would just look while we were at Cabela's.  We went there to check out larger food dehydrators because my little one (which I borrow from my Mom :: Thanks Mom!) just can't keep up with all I like to do... and I don't like canning much.  So... I'm checking out boy coats and they had a lovely selection and I'm having the boys try on things like North Face, Columbia, Cabela's Jacket, Carhartt, and Mobius.  We are all having a grand time :: smiles all around :: and then I start looking a prices... GULP!  I just can't believe it!  So, I just can't justify spending that much money on coats that the kids will wear a season or two and because they really wear their clothes, will probably not be able to pass on to the younger boy.  So, Brian suggested we stop on the way home at Dick's to look there.  Ok! off to Dick's I say!  Forget Cabela's and there outrageous prices!  At Dick's we find the boys sections and again having a lovely time of trying on Marmot, North Face, Spyder , and Columbia.  Then the price check :: GULP!  I just can't seem to spend $80.00 to $120.00 (or more!) on boys coats.  I know that I will find something that is durable and wont make me feel like I have mortgaged the house :: but in the mean time I have to wonder :: am I thrifty or cheap?
